Hi all,
So ive been in all kinds of situations. I walked all of spain, been homeless in a woods in london, i regularly wild camp these days although the cold is coming lately.
I can trap and snare animals, grow my own food and know what wild foods are eadible...
I am looking forward to a free life and live off my own skills.
Any questions you got just ask.

Having taught some of the skills which Anglo Saxons used in every day life, I would suggest adding the following skills to your list.
fire making, weaving, makingnatural cordage, basketry, preserving food, knots, basic ale or beer brewing for safe drinking water, and the uses brambles, grass for fire, mats, clothes, footware rope, etc, and nettles can be used for. Many other skills are also required but these can help make life more comfortable,

where abouts in the uk are you.I can hunt I have a crossbow and a lot of survivial equipment I'm only 19 and have a lot to learn but I already know the basics like hunting, gutting, cooking, shelter and fire enough to survive on my own only problem is I think I'd get pretty lonely after a while I go to the woods every chance I get but have no one to keep me company while I'm out. I would love to live in the outdoors and think id do well but would just get to lonely. Also the area near me is great but I could not live here not enough running water or large areas of uninhabited land need a really big forest or woods with water. I'm all set to go all I need is a buddy. I have a full time job and a motorcycle for getting around and some money in the bank but want to trade it all for a life in the woods

As for what Sams saying, im in the same sort of boat. Ive been in awe of the ol' viking / saxon lifestyles from our heritage and the time really makes me yearn to get out into the wild and just survive. I have no motivation at the moment and i think the best thing for me is being put into a situation where i survive as a matter of survival. Not just for the sake of surviving. Im also in essex so theres a nice amount of history to be sucked into. Though i feel that doing this is so hard through all the legislation etc. But i guess you have to throw it to the wind. Im also a complete novice and havent really been too physically active as of late so im not sure what position i am really in. So hearing from someone who is living the life i would like fills me with confidence.

hey it's nice to know people have the same aspirations as me. I'm only 17 and i wish i had more hands on experience in making shelters and fires etc. I lived in a bell tent in a commune last year in Wales so i'm used to being outside, but i know i have a lot to learn . Right now i'm studying botany and i'm learning about plant foods and foraging. I can grow food, weave, cook and i know a little about herbal medicine. I'd much prefer natural living than a 9 to 5 job any day.

The joy about living wild with people of different levels of experiance is that you pick up and learn all sorts of great new things

I have always wanted to be a wild man. I have been homeless and iv chosen to live wild before but I got lonely. People always thought I was crazy. I have been a butcher so I can cut up most animals and i am a chef so i can cook them too. I know basic survival skills, shelter building, fire starting, trapping/snaring. If there is a community of people willing to all pitch in this could really work. Where in the UK are you planning?
