Hey everyone, new to the site. Thought i would reach out and get as much info as I could before I actually take off and live in the wild. However, I have Diabetes. This restricts me very much as I need insulin daily. It has been my dream for the last 4 years to live in the wilderness of west scotland, roaming from forest to coastal areas. Ive researched a little into protein diets and other no carb alternatives, but that doesn't seem viable. Ive spoken to my doctor about this and he said and i quote - "we will section you under the mental health act if you so much as attempt this endeavor". I found this very funny and part of the reason I wish to leave society, always thinking the authority knows best. They may be right in this situation as I can't find anything that would actually help me with Diabetes in the wild. Ive done 4 day to a week camping trips easily as i had access to medicine, but to live free in the wild, I would have such easy access once it runs out. I have thought about using family as an access point but if im roaming, I would have little to no communication with them. Thought about setting up a place to meet them so they could pass over the insulin, but they are reluctant to help and would quickly contact authorities. Any advice?

theres more conditions you may not be aware of which you may have. I for one have got reynards disease, which is a very common thing, most people reading this will probably have it, in the cold your fingers and toes cut off circulation and start swelling up, very easy to get frostbite eve in uk weather. which is why you need good equipment, good gloves, double layered
